Because what the Hunt for Red October suggested to me is that what you see as American determination was actually stubbornness and a dangerous distrust. I might remind you that the Americans in that movie very nearly killed a Soviet man that was trying to save America because they refused to trust him. Only the extreme effort of a CIA officer that one might call Liberal, considering he pushed to trust a Soviet, was able to save the American naval officers from screwing up. I personally think the Hunt for Red October put the American navy in a bad light, not a good one. Personally, I find Malcolm X to be much more representative of America. Malcolm X was a man who, while certainly flawed, always strived to make something better of himself. But much more than that, he strived to make others better. He began as a some common street thug, but through hard work he raised himself up as a leader, and instilled a strong sense of self-worth in others. When his mentor abandoned principle in favor of personal lust, Malcolm X stuck with principle. And when he was shown that the races could exist together as equal, and more importantly as brothers and sisters, he came back to America to fight for that. And that is what I believe America is. A place where anyone can make mistakes, and yet also grow. And most importantly, that we fight for each other, not just for ourselves. I like to think that Batman in the ‘Dark Knight’ is supposed to represent G. W. Bush. If you watch it with that in mind it all makes sense. I’ve tried several different brands, including Pigma Micron pens, Marvy Fabric Markers and Fabric Brush Markers, FabricMate markers, and EZ Permanent Fabric Markers from EZ Quilting. I purchased most of my markers either at JoAnn Fabrics (FabricMate and EZ), Michaels (Pigma Micron) or online at Dick Blick. Read the instructions - some markers require heat setting, which means you need to iron the print before washing. When you have people sign the blocks, iron a piece of freezer paper to the back of the signature area. This keeps the fabric flat, which makes writing on it MUCH easier. If you want, you can add some lines on the freezer paper with a black marker. We are not fools you know! *I* don’t personally believe it is a sin, but the bible is not very specific on these matters. I will say this : Most religions are very clear on pre-marital sex and sexual contact. They say NO PRE-MARITAL SEX. They do not say intercourse. So, pre-marital sex includes ~ Oral Sex, Manual Sex (Masturbation), Anal Sex, and Intercourse. The use of the word ’sex’ is important as it covers all of their bases. If they didn’t want pre-marital intercourse they would have been more specific. Perfectly normal. No such thing as sin. Don’t let religious nuts tell you this is wrong. Go enjoy your life. Alright so there was this new project coming up and this guy, we’ll call him A, we’re friends but not too close, well he asked me to be his partner for the project and I said yeah Now this other guy, let’s call him B, a few days after in the same class, came to see A and proposed him to be his partner. He said no cuz he’s with me and I said better luck next time with a smile (not sarcastic or mean at all). He insisted a little cuz everyone was teamed up I guess…(he asked 3 or 4 times), idk it was a while ago. When the project was about to start, A told me that he changed partner and teamed up with B. So at first I was mad at A but every girl called him a jerk so I guess he got his lesson. But after that I was kinda mad at B because I mean, we were in a team and he didn’t respect that. A and B aren’t that close friends either So now a few days ago, we were switching places in math( yeah, we can’t switch place every class we have a definite place :/) I wanted to team up with this girl who’s kind of a distant friend, but she’s really nice and I wanted to get to know her better. So I asked to team up with her and she said she’s stuck with B so she couldn’t. So then I asked B if he wanted to switch places and he said no. So a while after I found 2 spots free and I was really desperate (long story…but I guess this is too lol) so I asked her once again which was also kind of humiliating because of all the insisting and B said "I’m a human being you know"…idk I thought it was kind of rude since he did that to me once and also I was a closer friend to the girl than she was to him (B) So today we were in computer class and I raised my hand for the teacher to come and see me but B passed behind me and he like… pushed my hand. So I look at him and he looks at me (sounds like weird al’s r kelly parody) and after a while I’m like "no apology….no?" with like a little curious tone in my voice. He didn’t say anything. But now that I think of it, I think he actually high fived me instead so in this situation I don’t know if I went over the top…sorry I analyze everything too much So my question is, in all of the situations, overall, who do you think was worst? and do you think I’ve ever went over the top in some of the situations?
