What movie that you know every frame of says it all politically for you?
I would have to say Hunt for REd October. It best defined American determination to rid ourselves of a dangerous enemy driven by tyrannical ideology. It also portrayed internal govt opposition and definance to the soviet/marxist way of life.
blue>Sounds like you do what you can to provoke.
Beck>Liberals hate the CIA. I guess you didnt get that memo. The navy just doing their job wouldve blown him out of the water without the CIA which is supposed to do its job and enlighten us with intel. Both are supposed to work together but liberals dont believe inteligence gathering. They believe in cutting them off at the knees and trying to drag them into court.
Zeitgeist>It didnt delve into the ideology save a few places like where the Russians are talking about how great it would be to live in America, do what you want, travel where you want not needing papers, etc. Red October dealt with the struggle, the intrigue, strategy, not really ideology.
Braveheart….FREEEEEEEEDOMMMMMMM!!!

You think so? Because what the Hunt for Red October suggested to me is that what you see as American determination was actually stubbornness and a dangerous distrust.
I might remind you that the Americans in that movie very nearly killed a Soviet man that was trying to save America because they refused to trust him. Only the extreme effort of a CIA officer that one might call Liberal, considering he pushed to trust a Soviet, was able to save the American naval officers from screwing up.
I personally think the Hunt for Red October put the American navy in a bad light, not a good one.
Personally, I find Malcolm X to be much more representative of America. Malcolm X was a man who, while certainly flawed, always strived to make something better of himself. But much more than that, he strived to make others better.
He began as a some common street thug, but through hard work he raised himself up as a leader, and instilled a strong sense of self-worth in others. When his mentor abandoned principle in favor of personal lust, Malcolm X stuck with principle. And when he was shown that the races could exist together as equal, and more importantly as brothers and sisters, he came back to America to fight for that.
And that is what I believe America is. A place where anyone can make mistakes, and yet also grow. And most importantly, that we fight for each other, not just for ourselves.

I like to think that Batman in the ‘Dark Knight’ is supposed to represent G. W. Bush. If you watch it with that in mind it all makes sense.

My choice is The American President, with Michael Douglas, Annette Bening, Martin Sheen and Michael J. Fox. Directed by Rob Reiner – with Richard Dreyfuss portraying an eerily Cheney-like character, this movie not only show us politics as usual, but also politics with heart and with men and women who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe.

That’s easy, Zeitgeist: Addendum. It addresses the Fractional Reserve Monetary System, Capitalism and Debt Slavery. No Hollywood movie would dare tell that much truth.
The closest Hollywood film would be The International, but it just hints at how the bankers and the weapons makers collude to profit off of war.
Dude, have you ever seen Red October??? Are you serious? In that movie, the Americans were the ones with the tyrannical ideology! It portrayed some Soviets as dissatisfied with their lives much like some Americans are dissatisfied with ours.

The Godfather, especially when kay says to michael that politicians don’t have people killed and michael retorts "who’s being naive now, kay"?
my favorite movie of all times.
