I need your opinion!!!!!?
I have posted this question before, and to clarify to some people, yes I have lost someone namely my dad. (By the way I am 15 so please do not comment unless you are serious) Yes i know the poems are sad and morbid but please understand that I have had a rough life.
Okay the following are some poems that i have written. please tell me what you think of each one.
Undertow.
If the world is gone then where will I go.
I’m tossed in the wind like a flake of snow.
No control of where, how, or even when.
I used to know, but this is now and that was then.
When the world collapses around my ears.
No one will be there to see the tears.
Freshly spilled like a river of blood.
Emotions slip out caught in the flood.
I’m grasping at straws with no sense of direction.
Try as I might my life’s far from perfection.
It started as a flaw, a crack in the glass.
Then it grew bigger and I fell flat on my ***.
So, if the world is gone then where will I go?
Do not ask me cause I can hardly know.

Day Break.
Night always comes, inky and grim.
To swallow up day til it fills to the brim.
We all have to wait for dusk to turn day.
But when it does, its worth it we say.
Day is now as perpetual as night seemed.
The sun on our skin as warm as we dreamed.

Ephemeral.
Her soul is lost for but a few.
Life extinguished like morning dew.
A life lost is cause for weep.
It’s a mighty wall deaths vines will creep.
When the day is done, and death has won.
Life still shines a burning sun.

Love
Love is like fire it’s hot and it burns.
The one thing in life for which everyone yearns.
The thing I can’t hold, the thing I can’t grasp.
Love holds my heart in it’s clasp.
By James Casteel
Death
People come and people go.
Like the tides we ebb and flow.
Adamant I await for my time to pass.
When death comes to shatter life like glass.
I will look the reaper in the eyes.
Gently as i fall to my demise.
By James Casteel.
Poetry
I am
A river of tears won’t wash me away.
No amount of cries will keep me at bay.
I am the crusher of souls.
For hearts I leave is holes.
The world is awash in me.
Yet no one seems to see.
For I come swift in the night.
When no one will hear the fright.
I am death.
The world is awash in me.

Epitaph
Life is short, though the days are long.
Taking for granted the things i miss.
Birds in the trees singing sweet song.
The touch of a lover a long warm kiss.
The wind in my hair. My feet in the grass.
Pale white moons, and a bright red sun.
So sudden so brief, all things must pass.
Live life to the fullest, do not run.
I wish I knew for my life was brief.
Sliced down like weeds.
My life was a bad one riddled with grief.
Life a product of our deeds.

You are a talented poet, young man. I rate these poems in a range from 7 to 9 on a 1 to 10 scale…10 being the best. Your father would be proud of your gift. Keep writing and expressing your feelings. I am sorry you lost your dad.
